Situated on the main road in Llandudno, less than 10 minutes walk from the railway station, the main shopping centre and the pier, the Dunoon Hotel has access to everything. On our exploratory visit, we did a Treasure Trail which started just down the road from the hotel and finished close by one of our favourite cafes.

No sea views I’m afraid but comfortable rooms, mainly with walk-in showers. The food is good too - the hotel has two AA rosettes to prove it. Like at many hotels in Llandudno, parking is limited but not impossible. The hotel does have its own car park and, if you’re there at the right time, you can park immediately outside the hotel, ignoring the yellow line unless you’re in a camper van or in the parking area on the central reservation. The hotel does make a £7 per person charge for porterage, but we’d be happy to help if you’re struggling.

This is a family run hotel, so the staff are only too pleased to help with anything, including showing you how to operate the showers!

There is a lift to all floors, but some rooms do involve stairs, so do check when you book to make sure the room is suitable. Some guests may be accommodated in the part of the hotel known as Next Door which has a separate entrance as the name suggests!

Conditions were rather cramped in the area we used for bridge, so we shall now be using part of the prize room next door for bridge tables. We’re hoping this will help us improve lighting conditions too.

The best news for single guests is that we have been offered up to 35 rooms for single occupancy.

If you would like to book, you must contact me first. I will give you a unique booking number so you can contact the hotel to select a suitable room and pay your £50 deposit. The closing date for bookings is the 31st May 2026. The balance of the accommodation fee is due by the 27th January 2026.
