AUGUST NEWSLETTER Thanks to Making Tax
Digital, I’ve had to start using an accounting program. My invoices have been
causing some confusion, so I’m trying to clarify the whole process of booking
and payment. Click here for details. Here’s a list of holidays for the rest of this year which
still have spaces. Booking early is always recommended especially if you want
a single occupancy room or have a favourite room in a particular hotel. I’m off to the North Euston in Fleetwood from the 24th to 27th .
Guests were impressed with the hotel when we were there earlier this year.
The only complaint I had was that the portions were too large. I have
requested smaller portions but I’m afraid there’s no arguing with Lancashire
hospitality! Fleetwood itself isn’t the most salubrious of towns but is
well-positioned for visiting others in the area by bus, tram or by car.
Parking is free throughout the town. If you’re fond of free things, don’t
miss the resident’s lounge with its free coffee machine, tea making facilities,
fresh milk and biscuits or even cakes and pastries! At the end of the month,
I’m returning for a 4 night holiday to Cave Castle from the 31st. 11th to
14th September sees me back at the Bedford Hotel,
Lytham St Annes, but the 2 remaining rooms are for sharing only. In October, I’m back to the North Euston in Fleetwood
from the 19th to 22nd. In November, I have another visit to Cave Castle from the
2nd to the 5th. I
had used all my allocation, but the hotel has found me a few more rooms, so,
if you’re quick, you will be able to join us. At the end of the month, I’m
back at the ever popular Bedford Hotel from the 22nd to 27th for
a 5 night break – great food and a chance to relax before life becomes hectic
in December. In December, I have 3 holidays – a 5 night holiday at the
Netherwood, Grange over Sands, from the 5th to 10th and
a 3 night holiday there from the 13th to 16th and
my usual Twixmas break at the North Euston, Fleetwood from the 27th to 31st. Next year’s holidays are already booking up. Click here for

are currently fully booked, so missing from this newsletter, just send me an
email. There is no obligation. If I have a cancellation, I contact you to see
if you’re still interested and available. And finally…..congratulations if you have made it this
far. I’m looking forward to seeing over 500 of you over the course of the
year for bridge and maybe for a late session of Mexican Train Dominoes or
Rummikub after bridge in the evenings. We might even invite you to join us
for one of Treasure Trails’
treasure hunts. Booking Procedure: 1. Choose
the holiday you are interested in. 2. Contact
me by email for the quickest response or telephone 01482 845595 (usually on
answerphone, but if you leave your telephone number, I will be able to
contact you even if I’m away) or by letter to Helen’s Bridge Holidays, 15
Hull Road, Cottingham HU16 4PN 3. You
will receive a confirmation email from me to let you know whether you will
need to contact the hotel or not. Some of my hotels require a deposit or
formal registration with them. Please do not contact the hotel direct unless
I advise you to as I cannot guarantee you a place on the bridge holiday if
you do and you may be subject to cancellation charges imposed by the hotel if
there isn’t room for you. 4. You
will receive a reminder email from me about a month before the holiday is due
to start. 5. You
will receive an invoice for my bridge/hospitality fees via Clearbooks shortly
before the holiday starts (currently a day before, but I’m considering
sending them a week before). Please note payment is not due until the
day of arrival. You may pay me by two methods: a)
Bank transfer to business account: Helen

Cash – please put this in an envelope
with your name on so I know who it’s from! |
